While escaping her entrapment, Hanako first went to [[Doma]], she would slowly travel north to the [[The Azim Steppe | Azim Steppe]], doing small jobs and earning her keep as she went. Hanako mainly fought with the sword of Aestellaer, using a short amount of magic to transform it into a crystal so it could be concealed in her bag and not conviscated from her.
	
Hanako did alot of work to become a honorary member of the Steppe tribes, she would find some paints in Reunion and spend her days painting the landscapes, then selling them to tourists and locals alike, then after she got a reputation, she'd paint the various Khatuns, before she was taken in first by the [[Mol]]. Fighting by their side in the Nadaam that year. Due to her reputation for portraiture, and perhaps due to his ego, [[Magnai Oronir]] himself requested a portrait. Hanako would note that the tempremental Khatun was one of their most pickiest clients, taking atleast 16 revisions before he was fully happy with the piece. This would lead her to avoid further interaction with him from then on.
