The Malestrom's second-in-command, Grand Storm Marshal Slafyrsyn brings the wisdom of his fifty-eight summers to his position as Merlwyb's trusted advisor. This in no way reflects upon his own bravery, however, for is known to be a skilled and daring marauder on the field - or seas - of battle.
Though Eynzahr claims to have served as a captain on a heavily-armed merchant vessel for many years, the Sea Wolf's story is shrouded in mystery. According to the gossip of fishwives, the is actually the legendary pirate king Mistbeard, whom no man has seen for the past twenty-two summers. They also say that he befriended Merlwyb through the bitter enmity and fierce fighting betwixt the two. He is an avid collector of masks - though none seems to be privy as to why.
